poetry

By Vinod "NAZAR"

"DISTANCES"

(1)
Poigance of memories is
Intoxicating far
Than pleasures of proximity
This is the intimation of the heart
Not of the World's-
(2)
In separation, there was
A longing to be close
In togetherness, the fear of
Sorrow and separation.
Our lives were thus spent,
Pining.
(3)
From the country
Which is our own
Where do we go?
Apart from our land
A home, where do we find?
"MAN OF TODAY"

Man is bent
Not with humility
With hunger
man is tired
Not with work-
With life.
Man is defeated
Not by the World
By himself.

Bent, tired, defeated
Dumbled with many sorrows
Man today
In the hope of tomorrow
Carries the burden of existence
On roads unknown
Towards oblivion.

"WOMAN"

Woman is enchantress
Progeniter of the world
Nature is an aspect
Of womanhood
Simple,natural, she is
Internally rainbow hued.
