L E T T E R S

THERE are some comments I want to make.  The Feature, contributed by Prof Joginder Singh is typical of what the elite from all over the world has to say about the migrants: We love them as they work for pittance in most hazardous occupations, and at the same time, we hate them as they encroach upon our social, cultural, geographical and even political space. Where do we stand? We must clarify; otherwise the message would be that we too belong to those who wish to disfranchise and outcaste the migrants. Why I am raising this question because I myself have been  working on migrants since 1981 and I know the ground realities very well.
