Jaitley not to attend any poll meets of BJP?
Even as the BJP presents a brave face, the deadlock
within it seems to be worsening. Sources have
told NDTV that Arun Jaitley will not attend any
election committee meeting of the BJP till Sudanshu
Mittal is removed. Jaitley has been reportedly
upset with BJP president Rajnath Singh over Sudhanshu
Mittal's appointment as party's in charge for
Northeast. Mittal is a key political appointee
backed by party president Rajnath Singh.
However the man in the eye of the storm, Sushanshu
Mittal, has said that it is an imaginary controversy
and he would abide by party orders. Apart from
the appointment of Sudhanshu Mittal as in charge
for the Northeast, there have been reports of
disagreements between Rajnath Singh and Arun Jaitley
in the past few days.

Best week for US stocks since Nov
A sharp rebound in bank shares and easing worries
about the economy pushed stocks to their best
week since late November. The market shot up in
one week as it might in some years, with major
indicators chalking up gains of around 10 percent.
Friday's gains were modest compared with the
rallies on Tuesday and Thursday, but investors
welcomed the market's ability to hold its ground.
Several recent rallies have ended with disappointing
selloffs.

India lose in Auckland but win series 3-1
Jesse Ryder continued his smooth drive in the series and took the Indians for
a ride, a bumpy one undoubtedly. Three wickets
to wreck the famed Indian batting line-up followed
by 63 blazing runs set it up for New Zealand perfectly.
Very appropriately, the burly NZ opener was awarded
the man of the match prize for his 63 and 3/29.
India created history when they had wrapped up
the series in Hamilton, their first series victory
in New Zealand. India won the National Bank Series
3-1.
