RAJ Kapoor was the leading showman of India during
the 1950s and a master lover too. A married man,
he got in a romantic relationship with his co-star
Nargis and the unmarried Nargis responded with
sincerity that is expected of a woman from the
Indian society. However, when it was time to
confront the fact of marrying Nargis or rejecting
her in favour of his orthodox domestic life, Raj

My struggles against racial discrimination and
racist conspiracy
|
Sawraj Singh
MY family and I have become victims of racial
discrimination and racist conspiracy because we
were vocal minorities, and our views came in
direct conflict with the prevailing dominant
American and western thinking at this time.
To me, it appears that America and the other
western capitalist countries are thinking of
starting a new world war to preserve the status
quo in the world and that is to preserve the
American hegemony and the western domination and
to maintain the present unipolar world order based
upon these.

Gandhi and the path of Ahimsa
|
|
Vinod Anand
THE concept of Ahimsa occupies a central position
in Gandhi’s thoughts. It would not be correct to
say that the inspiration behind the idea of Ahimsa
came from Mahatma Gandhi solely, from the
spiritual traditional in India, or from any
unified religious tradition for that matter. The
idea is to be found in the teachings of Buddha,
Mahavira and Jesus Christ. More
